Her er mange ting at se, siger Raju, og ser paa mig med alvorlige
oejne bag brillerne.
- Paa den anden side floden, lidt langt vaek, er Girijana hvor man kan
se hvor de smaa folk boede. I fjerne tider boede der smaa folk her,
meget smaa, paa stoerrelse med min haand. Det kan man jo sagtens
forestille sig. Det er Girijana, man kan se deres huse, det er et
meget interessant sted.
- Har du vaeret der? Har du set husene?
- Ja, i min familie har vi set dem.

(jeg forestillede mig, at disse smaa folk fra de fjerne tider og ret
langt borte, havde boet i smaa huler mellem stenene)

- Hvordan ser de smaa huse ud, Raju ?
- Saadan, siger han og slaar ud med armene mod gaden - saadan som huse ser ud !

(Det minder mig om engang paa Filippinerne. Min ven Ading kunne
levende beskrive bittesmaa huse og samfund. Blot var de smaa folk der
ikke fortidige mennesker, men nutidige alfer og deres boliger).

Vandrer og klatrer mellem klippeblokke og forstyrrer firben og
jordegern. Kun lyden af skridt og vejrtraekning - ellers urstille....

De oversvoemmede rismarker ploejes og en varm duft af muld
slaar mig i moede. Parat til udplantning ligger risens saasenge
lysende groenne.

Man kunne selv gaa i froe her og lade tiden vaere et stille landskab.
Det er der nogle der goer - med base i en haengekoeje spaendt ud
mellem evigheden og The Laughing Buddha Restaurant.

. Every morning in southern India, millions of women draw kolams on the ground with white rice powder. Through the day, the drawings get walked on, rained out, or blown around in the wind; new ones are made the next day. Every morning before sunrise, the floor is cleaned with water, the universal purifier, and the muddy floor is swept well for an even surface. The kolams are generally drawn while the surface is still damp so that it is held better. The Kolam is a welcome and a blessing. The shape of the Kolam is up to individual creativity.
